Inquisition of the Witch

Set in a superstitious and plague-ridden Victorian-era town, a skilled young healer named Magda arrives seeking quiet work, only to find the community devastated by a mysterious and deadly contagion. While Magda successfully cures the sick using advanced herbal remedies, panicked townsfolk and corrupt religious leaders blame her for the outbreak, branding her as a witch. Arrested and sentenced to burn at the stake, Magda catches the attention of Sir Benedict, a meticulous and open-minded Inquisitor sent to investigate the town. As Benedict and Magda race against time to uncover the true source of the plague—a contaminated holy spring—they must navigate religious fanaticism, public hysteria, and the ultimate sacrifice to save the town that condemned them.
