Mafia Meets Nurse

Nina Kowalski is an exhausted emergency room nurse working relentless shifts to support her family and pay off the heavy medical debt from her father's past heart attack. After a brutal 20-hour shift, she accidentally climbs into the front seat of a mysterious, guarded car belonging to Luca Marchetti—a powerful Chicago figure who has spent six agonizing years hiding his own daughter's whereabouts after an assassination attempt. As Nina and Luca's lives cross paths, they become entangled in hospital politics, betrayal from Luca's inner circle, and a haunting past connection involving the 32 bystanders who walked past Nina's father when he collapsed on a train platform. Through trust, honesty, and learning to stay when things get hard, Nina and Luca heal old wounds, expose traitors, and find their way home together.
