Privacy policy
This explains what Dramatubi collects when you use Dramatubi, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
Account details: your email address, display name and, if you set one, your picture. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider; we never see or store it in readable form.
Your activity: watch progress, watchlist, follows, likes, rewards, quests, cards, invites, and wallet records (coins bought, earned and spent, tips, unlocks, subscription status).
Purchase records for coin packs and the Pass. Card details are held by the payment provider, not by us.
If you are a creator: your public profile, dramas, stories, uploads, applications, and records of earnings and payouts.
Reports and appeals you send us. A creator never sees who reported them.
Viewing statistics: views and watch time per episode per day, tied to a one-way pseudonymous key rather than your name or email. Guests get a random cookie identifier for this. Creators only see aggregated numbers, and small groups are hidden.
Technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, language, and error logs, used to run and protect the service.
2. How we use it
To run the service: sign you in, remember where you stopped, keep your wallet and rewards correct, recommend dramas (you can switch personalisation off), and show creators how their work is doing.
To pay creators accurately, and to prevent fraud and abuse such as reward misuse and chargebacks.
To review and moderate content, answer reports and appeals, and reply when you contact us.
To send service messages such as confirmations and password resets, and to meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of first-party cookies for sign-in, security and the guest viewing identifier, and your browser’s local storage for player and display choices. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Details are in the Cookie policy.
4. Who helps us run the service
Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and file storage.
Mux processes and delivers video.
Vercel hosts the website.
A payment provider (Stripe) processes card payments once payments are switched on.
An email provider sends confirmation and password emails.
No advertising provider is connected today; we will update this policy before one is.
We may share information with authorities or others when the law requires it or to protect people and the service. Your display name, creator profile and public works are visible to other users.
5. How long we keep data
Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable time.
Purchase, wallet and earnings records are kept as long as accounting, tax and legal rules require, and an account with purchases may need to be held for that reason.
Logs and viewing statistics are kept only as long as needed for security and reporting. A fixed schedule is to be confirmed in legal review.
6. Security
Data is protected in transit with encryption, access to it inside our team is limited, and database rules stop one user from reading another’s private data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
7. Children
The service is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Transfers abroad
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and Australia. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards.
9. Your choices and rights
In Account you can turn personalised recommendations off, clear your watch history, download a copy of your data, and request deletion of your account.
Depending on where you live (for example Australia, the EU or UK, or California) you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or limit some uses, and to complain to a privacy regulator. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the new version here, telling you about significant changes on the site or by email.
