What is an AI short drama?
What it is, how an episode is made, and how it differs from filming. · 4 min read
The idea
An AI short drama is a serialised story told in short vertical episodes where AI tools help create the images, video, voices or music. Some are fully AI-generated; others are AI-assisted, mixing AI with real footage or human performance. Dramatubi asks every creator to say which.
How an episode is made
Write a short script. Describe your characters and style in words. Generate pictures or video clips for each scene. Add voice, music and subtitles. Edit the clips together into an episode of one to three minutes. Upload and publish.
How it compares with filming
Filming needs actors, locations, cameras and crew. AI drama needs ideas, careful writing and patience with tools. It is cheaper to start and faster to change, but you still need good story and editing, and consistent characters take effort.
Where to watch
