Choosing AI tools for short drama

Five questions to ask before you pick tools. · 4 min read

What you need tools for

Most creators use some mix of: a writing assistant for scripts, an image tool for characters and posters, a video tool for shots, a voice tool for dialogue, a music tool, and a normal video editor to put it together.

Tools change quickly, so Dramatubi does not recommend specific products. Test a few on one scene before you commit to a whole series.

Five questions

1. Does it support vertical 9:16 output? 2. Can it keep a character’s face and clothes consistent across shots? 3. Does the licence allow commercial use and publishing on platforms like Dramatubi? 4. How long and how sharp are the clips, and what does it cost for a whole series? 5. Can you control voices and lip movement well enough for dialogue?

Rights and safety

Keep a note of which tool made which asset and what its terms say. Never imitate a real person’s face or voice without permission. You are responsible for what you publish. See the AI disclosure article in the Create Wiki.
